Medical Expenditures Size of Disease: focusing on Retiree

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to determine of medical expenditure size of retiree according to disease. This study used the data in 2013 out of the raw data of the Korean Retirement and Income Study collected by the National Pension Research Institute.For data analysis, to verify the correlations between the general characteristics of the subjects and the amount of medical expenses according to the type of the public pe nsiont-test were conducted, using SPSS 22.0.There was a statistically significant difference in disease, sex, spouse, and psychological health status among those who did not receive a public pension. Therefore, it is necessary to vitalize the public pension system for the maintenance of all the people’s right to health after retirement.
